OceanWatch Australia's 5 year program to provide an alternative tool for shoreline erosion focuses on turning old oyster shells into living shorelines. The Sugarloaf site experiences ongoing wave generated erosion and is adjacent to park areas important to the local community. The living shoreline structures were deployed in July 2017.
